OVERHEAD SUSPENSION SYSTEM
Probably the most popular system today, the 3-way Overhead Suspension System can be adapted to all brands of x-ray tube heads.
The belts are made of heavy-duty nylon reinforced neoprene rubber to resist oils and most chemicals. The ends of the belts are connected to a drum in the carriage and roll up uniformly to raise and lower the tube mounting platform. The belt angle tends to dampen side sway of the platform, yet it will give easily if the tube should hit something.
The lifting gear motor is equipped with an electro-mechanical brake to hold a heavy load with no creep.
Vertical travel is approximately 5 feet per minute.
A limit switch is provided for adjusting vertical travel.
A lower mounting plate is provided that is easily removed for drilling mount holes for any type of tube yoke adapter.
